Would this payroll job help me get the position I want in the future?

I've been working at this payroll company for almost half a year and I still have half a year left until I get my degree in Finance. I'll be applying for a financial analyst job next year after graduating. I've gotten other job offers, but they were all located too far. I'm helping the CEO with many tasks. I work with some accounting, taxes, and payroll. Do you think this job will look good on my resume when I apply for the financial analyst position? Or will it do me no good? Thanks! I really need some advice!

6 months does NOT show loyalty. 6 YEARS shows loyalty. Being a Personal Assistant means you were someone's lackey. Going to school while working is done by millions of American kids every year, so it is EXPECTED of you. But yes, list the job on your resume because you have to have experience in something. That other person must be a secretary. Oh sorry, Administrative Assistant.

If you've been there for 6 months, then it shows some loyalty and ongoing responsibility. Its not just payroll, but taxes and other accounts, which means you have had experience in different areas of finance. Being able to show that you could manage both a job and school at the same time (good time management skills) is also a major requirement. And being a PA (personal assistant) to the CEO is an excellent title to have on any resume. All in all, I think you SHOULD put this job on your resume.
