Where can I get a good job as an Autocad draftsman?

I would like to get a better job as an Autocad draftsman in the St. Louis Metro East area. I am about to graduate with an AAS in drafting and plan on transfering to a 4 year university. Any suggestions?

I'm from the St Louis area, but even I can't give you a good lead...mostly because drafting is such a large field of interest. Your best bet is to give some thought to what you want to do and then hit the phone book. Don't be afraid to send resumes to anyone/any company that may be of interest. It's never too late to get experience in your field of interest and you should do drafting in a field you actually enjoy/want to make a career in.
I've been drafting professionally for 18 years (21 years including high school) and still work in the field.

I don't know specifically about the St. Louis Metro East area, but if you look up local companies with mechanical engineering departments, they usually have drafters and designers in their departments.
