I actually quit Target about 3 months ago because I did everything for that store but I was stuck as a level 1 hardlines team member for 2 years. If a gstl or tl position becomes open, they will most likely transfer someone from another store in the district sometimes region. The next step would be to hire someone completely new and lastly they would promote within. They use the excuse that someone promoted within will not be taken seriously by the other team members. If you're not full-time flexible, forget it.
I did everything for my former Target store for 2 years and was used and abused. I am finally free...

don't bother! you are wasting your time if you think you are going to move up. you could work there for 5 years and be the best employee around and they will still hire ETL's etc from someone new.

It depends on how difficult you think it would be to out-shine handicap people.
