I have a cousin who worked in a bank for a number of years and she said that customer service experience is a must. Cash handling I am sure would be pretty much essential as well.

Some banks require prior experience, I've notice in some ads they don't.
I promise you this...you will be tested, a background (criminal) etc...and drug test completed, as this position handles cash. Plus, while your thorough background check is completed you must have references..that can be verified.
Whether prior jobs or family or friends.
This is a high security position, so it will require you to be bonded...(the bank takes care of this, but further paperwork is required)
It's no simple/easy stuff.

They basically look for a high school diploma and prior cash handling experience, Jamba Juice or Burger King for example.
