Aerospace careers are good and I know a lot of airforce people who have come over. The for-profit companies such as Boeing, Raytheon, Northrop Grumman, and Lockheed Martin have an abundance of former military people. I work at the Aerospace Corporation which is not a for-profit company. It is a FFRDC. We work very closely with the Air Force and they have a base right across from our buildings. Many air force members come work for us after their careers in the military and they are paid competitively. One thing you have to think about if you want to work for the Aerospace Corporation is that you may have to wait two years before you can get cleared to work here. I am not sure if they have the same policy for the for-profit companies. Good luck.
