Is it safe to wear the apparel of a clothing store to a job interview?
Asked by Zuraith SaDistika
I have an interview with a clothing store today and I was wondering if I should just wear their clothes to the interview, or if I should still be all spiffy.

No. Do not do this. It will look like you are assuming you will automatically get the job. If I were the interviewer, I would put you on the "do not hire list" and not call you back. Just being honest here. I have about two years experience of interviewing and I know exactly what to look for. I have also screwed up some interviews myself based on what I wore.

Well if it's to a place like Pac Sun, Old Navy, or Hot Topic, wear clothes that reflect that store... something that lets them know that YOU are in the know about what's hot to wear... therefore giving you optimum salesmanship.. but if it's to a place like say JC Penney or Sears, go spiffy, they may want somebody impressive for they're representative.
Good luck! hope ya get it! :-)

For a job interview you usually wear suit and shirt. Something in the dark shades.
