As a marketing major, what should I minor in to complement the marketing degree?
Asked by katie r
I am going to school in New York, which I feel is the best place to major in business and make the most money. As a Marketing major, I want to know what minor I should choose that will give me a leg up in the business industry. Thanks!

A minor in graphic design is helpful, but you will most certainly have a leg up on your competition if you have a firm understanding of the latest technologies- many of the older marketing pros can barely use powerpoint! It's ridiculous! Having in-depth knowledge of the following things will set you apart from your competition: -web 2.0 -social networking -rich media -software such as powerpoint, adobe etc. -blogs -knowledge of the latest business trends, buzzwords, and current events Email me for more info, I'd love to help. I have an MBA in marketing and I work in advertising.
