What would be a good job for a 47 year old woman that pays good and speaks spanish?
Asked by swimtech4me
My mother is really devastated by the amount of money she has to pay for her bills. She graduated from a high school in Nicaragua but didn't go to college in here because she didn't really know any english. What would be a good job that requires little college education, speaks spanish or a little bit of english and pays more than $15 per hour?

Perhaps she could work as an interpreter. I don't know how much that pays though. Here is Canada it would be a fairly decent wage. Interpreters here help with refuges and new immigrants trying to negotiate their way through the system.

inbound call center

Although it seems lowly, cleaning houses, with the right marketing, can pay lots of money. By dropping flyers/business cards at houses in rich neighborhoods, pinning up flyers with your phone number on them at country club, church or neighborhood pool bulletin boards, you can market your skills. Cleaning houses can earn you $50+ an hour, depending on your skills and how long it might take you to clean a house. You must be prepared to build you clientele, and gain some valuable references with your first coulpe of clients, but when you build up your clientele and clean several houses a week, you can earn as much as $50,000 on your own.

Swimtech, may i suggest a reading of '48 days to work u love' d.miller . a good book for going forward and plenty of fresh reference material. don't know if it is in spanish yet but u'll have good info for her. the other one is 'total money make over' d.ramsey helps our folks retain their cash. spending less and getting more value from their paychecks. our associates have a mandatory read of the books
