Dietary Aide Job?
Asked by Stacy
I have been thinking of getting a job to help out with the bills and everything. I was just wondering Would you have to have any experience in the health and medical field before being a dietary aide? How much is the salary for this job?

Dietary Aides in healthcare usually have some food service experience, but you can get hired without it. Even if you worked at, say, Burger King, for a year, it will be the kind fo thing they're looking for, but pay better. That said, the pay won't buy you a yacht, but its a paycheck. If you do apply, and are called for an interview, be sure to talk up your experience in helping to maintain a clean and safe household, and how you help to prepare meals at home...even fi yu don't lol!

It will probably pay a little over minimum. But a job described as Dietary Aide could mean anything from delivering trays to patients all the way down to prep-cook, or even worse swamping. Get all the facts before you sign on to anything you might regret.

You can probably search the local hospital websites for that kind of a job. They sometimes put a brief description of what type of education and experience is needed for that particular job. Just go to yahoo.com and type into search "your local hospital and 'your city and state'".
