Because people have told you that you have a pleasant phone voice. Because you enjoy assisting other people. Because you have been told that you are pleasant. Because I can juggle a multiple line phone system and take messages by hand accurately if necessary

A:
Write that you are a highly organized person that thrives in a customer orientated position. State that you are impressed by the hotels reputation citing certain policies or charitable affiliations, and that you would be honored to represent the company for those reasons. You will also want to take the opportunity to list the experience and skills that you will bring tot he company citing that is why you would be an ideal candidate. Don't forget to enclose a cover letter addressed to the person responsible for hiring, this information can be easily obtained by searching the Internet or simply calling. Sample cover letters can be found on monster.ca, and although they aren't always read they are definitely a thoughtful touch and give the opportunity to provide information that would otherwise not be available on the application or resume. It also give you the opportunity to thank the hiring manager for their time and consideration.

To be a successful hotel receptionist at least should have the following: 1. Pleasant appearance - at least, neat, average looking, and always have a friendly smile on the face. 2. You at least have to have basic language training in order to deal with different guests from various countries. 3. You must have a pleasant phone voice, clear, pleasant. 4. You must be reliable, responsible when you were ask to do any tasks. 5. You should be smart, and flexible to detect what the guest's needs, and trying to accommodate them. 6. You must have basic knowledge in popular computer programs, Windows, Word, Excel, Internet, e-mail, cel-phone, 7. You must know what is your duty as a hotel receptionist, and abide by the rules, not to bend them. 8. You must have the ability to deal with crisis - guest lost luggage, guest sick, miss a bus, lost passport, lost key, etc. miscellaneous. You need to keep cool while the guest is very upset. 9. You need to be a detail oriented and conscientious employee at work. If you can do all I mentioned above without any problems, the possibilities for you to get that job is very high! On the other hand, No chance! This advice is the last one before you hit the road to an interview! Good Luck!
