What are some good answers to "what are your weaknesses" in an interview?

Best Answer:
I sometimes say that I am a perfectionist. Which I am. I just tell them that I like to do things very thoroughly and take my time until it is perfect. It can be seen as a weakness because it takes you longer to complete a project or task when you want everything to be perfect. Yet taking the extra time will ensure that a good job is done. I have always gotten a good response from the interviewer when I tell them this.

i would say good answers to that is honest ones. make sure they relate to the postion, unless it says personal weaknesses. if u are qualified for the position, great remember no one is a perfect fit to a job. focus on ur weaknesses with data entry. good luck!~

Be Honest. You know your weaknesses. If you don't feel you have any you could say 'My weakness is I try too hard on a job'

you can say a lot. Say maybe you are an over achiever, and you set your goals to high, higher than the company's. That you like to think outside the box and be very creative at times. Just use your imagination, really.

i hate that question. i usually say that since i've been in this field for a few years, i've overcome many weaknesses and am constantly working on doing things better. but, if i had to choose, my only weakness is my extreme need for organization, b/c sometimes it upsets my messier co-workers.
it worked for me. good luck.

Everyone has weaknesses. This is a question that appears to search for a negative but in fact one that you can turn into a positive by talking about your strengths.
For instance, my weakness is that I am passionate about my career and sometimes my friends laugh at how hard I work and the fact that I only buy products from the "company" I work for.
This is a statement that you are dedicated.
I would limit it to one weakness and address it similar to this.

I used this one in my last itnerview and got the job..
"Well one of my weaknesses is that I usually take too short of lunch breaks. I dont know if thats because I eat fast, or I want to get back to work; but its the case."

This is a tricky question. You want to be honest but you also do not want to answer with an "interview-killer" so it is best to answer truthfully with a weakness that you are aware of but are working on or with a weakness that will not effect your job. For example, if you are interviewing for a job that requires strong computer skills but you do not know a certain program, you might say: I do not have experience with Microsoft Excel but I have been taking an online tutorial to learn the program. One that I use (if the job does not require being bilingual) is that I do not speak Spanish but would like to learn because Spanish is widely used in my job market. These are just a few suggestions....best of luck!

You should select a weakness that you have been actively working to overcome. For example: “I have had trouble in the past with planning and prioritization. However, I’m now taking steps to correct this. I just started using a pocket planner . . .” then show them your planner and how you are using it.
Talk about a true weakness and show what you are doing to overcome it.

Weakness and strength go side and side. A strength for data-entry is accuracy and careful in entry. tend to double-check. Weakness for data-entry is the time spent to ensure that it's correct entry. However this will avoid double time spent if it's done correct the 1st time. So your work strength is 'do it right the 1st time'.

Interesting! I had an interview yesterday and I asked my one of my previous managers (with whom I have kept contact) what to say if they ask me this question (He is the one who hired me for my very first serious job and I love him to death)
He said you NEVER EVER mention any weak points. You are a flexible person and can update yourself IF you figure out you are not good at something. You refer to your strengths and bring a couple of good examples.
Good Luck!
