If you cannot ask anyone in these two fields- then check into a website like salary.com or something similar. You can go there type in the description of the job your zip code and once that is done you will receive generalized information for this career in your area. It will be a range showing you what someone could expect out of this career. You can increase or decrease the size of the company or your number of years experience to see how it will effect your projected income level. I've used it to see if the job listings in my area are pretty accurate in what they are offering- they do seem to be right on. This is not a guarantee, but it should give you a starting point.
