Is anyone an emergencey dispatcher? If so about what did you start out making when you got hired on? Thanks?

I just applied for a dispatch job and am interested in the pay and hours worked per shift. I didnt want to be to nosey at the time of applying

Here where I live, they start out at about $10.00 per hour. You work your 8 hour shift that day. After that every hour you get payed 2x the amount. Same for holidays and overtime. You get about a .50 cent raise after 6 months. Hope this helps!

I just want to say that when you are interested in a job, learn to spell it properly. (Emergency). Not being a bitch, but having been in the hiring position many times over the years, one of the first things that catches my eye is spelling errors on a resume (and those would be the resumes filed under 'G' for garbage). Good luck with your application though, I hope you get the job you want...
