Cody S
Can I be a corrections officer, if I was convicted of a felony as a juvenile?
Asked by Cody S
I was charged and convicted of two felonies when I was 13 years old. I only have a juvenile record and I am now 23 years old. Is there still a chance I can be hired due to the length of time that has passed? I have no adult arrest history.

Yes particularly since it was 10 years ago and you have a clean record since. It might depend what the felonies were about, how serious, if your not sure, you can always phone the personnel office of the Agency and see what they suggest. It is worth applying is my answer.

You probably can, although, being an illegal immigrant seems to give carte blanche to any similar job these days so just to be sure, chuck away your passport and learn a few phrases of farsi. This only works in the uk incidentally.
