I have 20 years experience as a welder. Who will employ me?

I cannot get a job to save my life. I live in the Central Valley of Ca. and no one wants to employ me. I have been a welder and fabricator for 20 years. I have a car, I am willing to work. I need a job.

Get into the oil biz -- see if you can find any websites online that recruit people to work in the oil field services area. In the US, these jobs would probably mainly be in the Houston, TX area. Just an idea...good luck. D

Dude are you not in a union like pipefitters, steelworkers, Millwrights. Here then is the problem.
You might try mechanical shops like the equipment fabricators, some roughnecking is tiresome and they usually want union experience. Try a small company that has a maintenance shop that repairs their own equipment.
I employ 1 mechanic who is a welder.
