Where do you start off being a pharmaceutical representative with no experience?

My husband is looking for a pharmeceutical representative job. He has a bachelor's degree with 4 years insurance sales experience. He wants to get out of the insurance field and into pharma sales. If you know any good ideas, let me know. All we are finding are scams.

Because your husband has no pharma sales experience, but has insurance sales experience and a bachelor's degree, I would encourage him to try out pharma sales. I recommend that he start out with contract companies such as PDI, Innovex and Ventiv. While there, he can acquire training, get pharma sales experience and prove his abilities. After that, he can try out as a direct hire with the many big pharma companies. Wish him good luck for me!
