What does a "Field service technician" do ?

I have an interview for a field service technician position next week . I have experience as an electronics test technician .. but never in the field , i am thinking it's pretty similar? what do you think ?

You work with customers directly. You go to their locations and perform tasks like these: 1. New installations 2. Repairs and maintenance 3. Problem solving There could be other things. You should be good with people, a good communicator and be able to travel.

A:
It means you work out in the field. Outside of the office. It depends what type of company you have the interview with. That will tell you what type of work you will be doing.
