I looked up the position of operator trainee at chevron by looking it up on the Monster.com website: Based on the following description - CHEVRON CHEVRON PRODUCTS COMPANY, EL SEGUNDO REFINERY OPERATOR TRAINEE #061A6622 Chevron Products Company is accepting online applications for the position of Operator Trainee located in El Segundo, CA through November 19, 2007. Responsibilities will include operating equipment by manual, computer or instrument controls to maintain process temperatures, pressures & flow rates. Applicants must be able to work at elevated heights & climb ladders/stairs. This position works a rotating 12-hour shift for a 24/7 operation. Weekends and holiday work is required at times and is a condition of employment. Applicants must pass written and computer tests, have a high school diploma or equivalent, possess a valid California driver's license, and provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States. Due to the safety sensitive nature of the position, all offers are contingent upon a pre-employment medical and physical examination (including color blind test), a drug screen and background security check. To apply for this position you must go to http://careers.chevron.com & create a candidate profile & search by Position #061A6622. I would suggest that you practice your typing, and be perpaired to answer general computer skills questions. That includes basic math questions. Hope this helps.

the test is probably just to make sure you have common sense. Just take the test. Show some gumption in your answers.
