I am going stir crazy having to sit all day at my desk at work?
Asked by Conversation
Anyone else go crazy at work trying to look busy and not been allowed to get up from their desk. Where I work we have to ask our supervisor if it is OK to leave their work area. So even if I have to go to the bathroom I need to ask permission. It is crazy. I get so restless. Can you relate?

Um, yeah I have been in your shoes before. The best thing I did... get a different job! I work a job now where there is never a dull moment, I barely have time to sit down. So, it's quite the opposite. I know this may not be an option for you, but I just wanted to say that I can relate!

No.. but there are a number of books advising on all types of healthy ways to distract yourself.. e.g. ab crunches, but clinches, zen, relaxation response, making faces in a mirror, flossing... the possibility's are endless.. BTW are you still in grammar school?

Today is moving very slow for me at work. My boss is always gone, and I run everything. So I can do pretty much what I want. However the time is still slowly moving.

Yes I can relate. I would recommend finding a different job that you have a passion for. It sounds like you might want an outdoor job. Don't forget that fulfillment at work is more important than money.
