How do I go about becoming an elementary school Registered Nurse?

I want to be an RN but work in an elementary school environment..
what will i need to major in? a B.S in Nursing? or is there additional requirements in teaching etc.?
Please provide me w/ specific details /help.
Im coming to the end of my general ed. n i need to find a major before i transfer.

Some schools will hire LPNs, but yes, most hire RNs, and it's better to have a BSN above an associates degree because in a BSN program you will get a Public / Community Health course, which is important when working with a population such as students.
There are no additional requirements, you only need to have your RN license.

All that is required is the RN. After that you just apply at the school. No additional requirements.

NO, you don't just need your RN licence. School nurses need to be able to work independently without direct supervision. No new grad has that capacity. You preferably should have your bachelor's degree and have some background as a pediatric or community health nurse.
