What kind of questions can I expect for a field technician Interview?
Asked by ThinkClearWater
I have 2 interviews COMING UP Next Week! . I need one of them because due to some family problems I lost my sales job and my car is going into reposession soon , and my Insurance will be cancelled if i dn't pay Them close to 400 dollars by next week .
One of my Interview is as a Field Technician .
The other is as a Personal Banker at a bank located near my apartment.
Now It's the Field technician Position I am nost scared about because due to fear of losing my car and not having a job I exaggerated on my resume and Wrote the following experiences..
• Read and interpreted mechanical, optical, and electric specifications.
• Achieved exceptional accuracy with using multi-meters, digital oscilloscopes, DVM and function generators
• Achieved promotion within one year to supervise and train team members as necessary
Now ofcource first 2 points are really easy for me since I learned them in my lab at college ( I graduated with electrical and computer engineering degree ) ..
[The job requires for me to travel to peoples houses and fix their stuff -- All i know like it says on my "experience section " is read electric specifications , kno how to use multi meters , oscilloscopes, Function generators and so on .., But I got no clue How much more or how much deeper of an expereience the Employer requires from me , Am i worrying too much ,
I really need this job . ]
But i am really getting tensed now because I really want this job and I am not sure what kind of questions he might ask me when I get to the interview ..
What do you think ?

"Field Technician" is a broad scope definition. It can mean anything from a gas pump attendant to a Maytag repairman. "Personal Banker"? I'm not too sure what that means. In my job I often do Field work modifying or upgrading equipment my company manufactures. I am sometimes referred to as a "field technician". Depends on the equipment and the level of skills you have. The questions will most certainly be about the equipment the company builds or supports.
