Can I go back to UPS after I quit during the probationary period?
Asked by easy_love_7
I was the best new hire out of all the new hires. I had to quit because work was going to interfere with school, but when I left I told them it was not going to work out. Now I regret quiting, it was one of those dumb choices you make that haunt you! I want to go back, but i wanted to know if UPS would allow me to work there again after quiting like that?

Did you decide not to go to school? Stay in college, it's worth it. As for UPS, it all depends on the hiring manager. I doubt you are banned for life. Even if you are, there are better places to work at...so don't worry too much.

The only way you will know is the inquire. If you were an excellent employee, they probably would give you another chance unless they have a "do not rehire" policy.

It depends if you quit without a proper notice....you had better been one helluva worker. Because you quit due to school there is hope though. When I started there in 2002 I was going to get involved in the tuition reimbursement program to pay for my classes, but a driving job opened up. I thought long and hard and did my research. A driving job at UPS would have more job security than my chosen field of study, not to mention would pay me $70,000+ within 2.5 years. Where as getting a degree would have gotten me maybe $50,000 in 5 years and a cubicle with a boss breathing down my neck. The choice was simple and I haven't looked back! I really like being a UPS driver. Good Luck!!

Um probably not for at least 1 year, and if they choose to not rehire you, that it their perogative.
