The resume of a waiter, and how to translate skill sets to oil/gas work?

I've been in the restaurant biz since i was 15, and having essentially worked only restaurants, its time for a change. I'd like to get my foot in the door of the oil/gas industry but need help translating the skill sets of a waiter into viable resume'. I need suggestions

There is no way to translate skill sets of the restaurant business into the oil and gas industry. What you need to do is show them that you are willing to work in the hot, cold, wind, and rain, and snow and whatever else it takes to get the job done. That is what the oilfield is about. Grown men working like grown men and getting paid like grown men. Make sure you are physically fit and ready for hard work each and every day. If you can impress the right people, you can get your foot in the door. It's all up to you from there. Good luck.
