Salaried Sales Representative beer distributing company?

I'm looking at applying for a sales representative position with a beer distrubuting company. Has anyone had a job like this? It sounds like you maintain current clients and get new ones. How do you go about getting stores to buy from you instead of the person they are already buying from?

You generally have a territory. The beers that your company distributes are only available from your company. It really is a easy job. You only have to provide the specials etc and get them to stock up. You don't compete head to hed for the same products.
