Maybe just say you like to work with other school officials to provide a safe environment for teenagers to learn and thrive in the educational process. After all, children are the future and they have to be kept safe and educated! And being a police officer on a HS campus is being a part of providing for that future the teenagers are going to be.
For the second question, I would probably refer to your HS experience: was the security level safe when you were in high school, etc? If you can refer to your HS experience, just say that you've been through it all and you want to make sure that the high school students have a safer environment than you've faced, or have a better learning environment than you've had.
