Clinical Radiation Sciences vs Registered Nursing?

I am looking to enter the medical field. I have a strong interest in both Nuclear Medicine Technologist/Radiation Therapist AND Registered Nursing. Im not sure which field to choose. I hear you make more money in the Radiation Science field, but don't want to go after just money. Can anyone in the medical field give me a helpful tip?? In your opinion, which field would be the best to go into and why? By the way, I also hear Nuclear Med Techs and Radiation Therapists work Mon-Fri day hours, which is a perk!

You're the only one who can decide which is best - it is different for everybody. For me, it would not be nursing - it's just not for me, but thank goodness for those who do it. "Radiation therapists generally work 40 hours a week, and unlike those in other health care occupations, they normally work only during the day. However, because radiation therapy emergencies do occur, some therapists are required to be on call and may have to work outside of their normal hours. Nuclear medicine technologists generally work a 40-hour week, perhaps including evening or weekend hours, in departments that operate on an extended schedule. Opportunities for part-time and shift work also are available. In addition, technologists in hospitals may have on-call duty on a rotational basis, and those employed by mobile imaging services may be required to travel to several locations."
