if your RN license is revoke in another state can you still apply for a RN license in a different state?
Asked by RN_crash_cool
If my RN license is revoke in Arizona can I still apply and work as a nurse in illinois?

Best Answer:
You can apply, but you can not use reciprocity, as you do not have a current license. Secondly, since your license as an RN in AZ was revoked, and every state associates the RN license to the social security number, a simple background check on application to sit for the NCLEX RN in another state would reveal that you had, previously taken the test, and had your license revoked in the other state. It is doubtful that you would get a license in a new state, until you resolve the issue in AZ. You can contact the Board of Nursing in your prospective state and ask.

A:
no, you cannot. you would need to have it reinstated within AZ and then transferred to IL.
