Can anyone tell me what kinds of jobs are available out there for someone interested in humanitarian services and jobs that involve preservation of the environment? What type of schooling would you recommend to someone considering this type of career?

Everything we do is related to these issues. Maintain an awareness of humanitarianism and environmental preservation and you will find what is right for you. Remember, non-profits need the least reform in these areas. If you want to help save the earth, get a job with the largest polluter and try to fix it. Oil companies have environmentalists working for them. And Armies have diplomats.

I would seek a degree in chemistry and animal husbandry so I would know what effects the relation ship of the plants and animals to humans .and how to care for them.
