Toys R' Us only hires part time sales associates???

My girlfriend has a job at Toys R' Us but its only part-time, she originally was given a full-time position but after she was hired they told her that they only hire part-time for sales associates and only managers and higher positions I guess get full-time...even tho they are salary. Now that the Christmas season is over, she only got maybe 4-10hrs this week!!! Thats outrageous, I never heard of a job that doesn't give full-time positions to sales associates and even on the Toys R' Us website says they hire part-time and full-time. My gf can't prove that she was supposed to get full-time (I wish she had some sort of contract to sign like I did, but my job is different) Anyway has anyone heard of such bullcrap like that? I mean is there something she can do about it? Seems wrong...I think they are just trying to be cheap and not give benefits to everyone or something. I normally answer questions but since this one isn't on here I figure I can use some points :-P Thanks!

Not much she can do. That is their normal course and she should look for another job. i worked there years ago and would never again
