what is the standard pay or highest pay for housekeeping in a hospital job?

Depends on where you live. And what area of housekeping....patient ward vs surgical rooms. In the bay Area I believe it starts at 14.00+ because they're unionized. But, they are understaffed, overworked, and the first to get cut.

Depending on where you live....I live in the mid west and I know they start at very low, like $7.60 an hour and probably max about $12.00 an hr....which would take YEARS to get to. It's a very hard job and people treat you badly because it's the bottom of the barrel. I appreciate our housekeepers where I work, if they didn't work so hard the hospital I work at would be nasty and dirty. They're pretty good.
