How to get a secretarial/office job/retail without any qualifications?

I'm thinking of deferring from University for a year after i finish Highschool, to work fulltime. Trouble is, I won't have any qualifications, but I want to land a worthwhile and interesting job. As a junior secretary, or working in retail. How can i get a job like that without any qualifications having just left highschool? and futhermore, what would be the main things they would want to see in a resume? There's nothing wrong with a little embellishing, right....
