I had a telephone interview, but not for that type of job. I received some great advice from an employment counsellor. She said that even though you may be tempted to wear casual clothing or even pyjamas, it is wise to get up early as you would for an in-house interview and wear a nice outfit. You will feel better for it. They will be evaluating your telephone voice, how clearly you communicate and how well you relate to others you haven't met yet. The most common types of interview questions are scenarios (give an example of a time when...) and behaviour (how would you react if...) Good luck!

yes! but here is my tip to you. dont become a correctional officer. i been one for 6 months now and already am taking anti-depressents for depression, you dont know who has hiv, mrsa, hepatitis. on my on-the-job-training week i caught pneumonia for christ sake. the pay sucks, and the working conditions are even worse. be a cop instead, thats what im trying to do.
