i did this as a second part time job for 10 years, day one i kicked all the middle school kids off the bus for bad behavior lol all 72 of them and made them walk home, had the principal of the school on the bus with me day 2 and never had another problem in 10 years, once they realize you mean business and you enforce the rules equally for everyone it is a great job, i had 2 main rules, 1 no fighting and 2 if u stand u the bus stops, try that a couple of times lol, the kid that stands up gets pulled down lol everyone wants to get home. traffic in our upscale little town is a nightmare and watching out for the cars running your red lights and handling a 72 passenger 45' bus in small streets can be stressful, but i have watched half of this community grow up, lol now the cashiers at the supermarkets the clerks at mcdonalds and the ticket sellers at the theater grant me specials lol, the little kids who were in grade school are the adults of today, and every where i go someone knows me, i retired 2 years ago, and i miss it, love the kids, love the job and it was good second income. best time i remember was i put a sign up in the middle school bus at the back of the bus because some of the younger kids who got on first were trying to sit in the back that was claimed by the 8th graders sign said if u r not an 8th grader dont even think about sitting back here in the last 4 rows. wow did i make brownie pts with that one. presents at christmas and the end of the year, heck when the kids found out i was retiring they even had a retirement party with parents, cake and icecream on the bus for me. did more than the company or the school district did lol. me i wish i could do it again, go for it its a blast.

A:
I think yah because you get paid pretty much and kids wise, it just depend how much freedom you give the kids. If you let them run over you no, but if you be nice but still put your foot down yah and just dont worry about the parents
