How to get a job im Medical Claims and Billing?

I got my certificate in Medical Claims and Billing in October 2007 and can not get a job or and interview.I would love to work from home as a medical biller so i can take care of my young son. But every time i apply I"m told that I have no experience and their not willing to give me a chance. Can someone tell me how I can get a job in this field. I fill that I wasted my time and money. I need some suggestions.

I would approach the physcian and offer to do a few claims for free and see what the outcome would be and if they are satisfied to give you the job, also ask what the person is charging them now and go down on your price a little, doctors are always looking to cut corners when it comes to the office.
I am a nurse and have worked for doctors for over 30 years and I know the back as well as the front desk and insurance was my best quality besides nursing.

Send out flyers and follow up telephone calls. Try to find your own client. It IS harder to find your first client , but it can be very lucrative. You do NEED an appropriate home office set up though and software to do the billing at home.
