Has anyone given up their sales career and gone to work in a factory?

I am thinking about it. I enjoy the atmosphere in a factory and am tired of selling products.

You just made the best argument for your actions by stating that you "enjoy the atmosphere in a factory and your tired of selling". Most people are tied to jobs they don't enjoy and this creates stress, dissatisfaction, etc. I often tell people to figure out what they like doing and find a way to make money doing it. Don't look for a high paying job, look for a job you enjoy and turn it into a high paying position. Go for the Factory position and make the best of it.
