My husband is a Corgi Registered plumber. He's been in the trade for 25 years now.Best bit of advice I can give you is to get an apprenticeship.Avoid any schemes that claim to teach you in a few months. One such scheme was shown on tv a while back. All the lads were doing was sitting at a computer, and they never got any hands on experience, despite having paid a few grand for the course.
Electricians are ten a penny.Plumbers are what companies are crying out for. It's a good trade to be in.Just don't get ripped off with these courses.

You need to be smart, but it is best to find a good reputable company and get hands on experience. When you are experienced enough and have done your corgi registration you can go self employed. If you live in the right area earnings can exceed 100k in this profession, but this is not typical of the average earnings.
