Hi. No, you will have many opportunities. I am assuming you are being trained in medical terminology, transcription, etc. along with other "general" office related functions, so you will be eligible for ALL "Administrative Assistant" positions. Whether you want to stick with health care (hospitals, nursing homes, doctor or dentist's offices), or if you want to move out into other areas of the business world, you will have lots of opportunities. No, you can work in hospitals or in clinics also. You could do billing from home or transcription from home. You have a lot of flexibility and it is in demand now and always will be.
