Man of Action
How much do bilingual flight attendants make?
Asked by Man of Action
I speak mandarin fluently and am thinking about possible future carreers. Flight attendant is one of them. I'm a guy 25 years old. What is the average pay for a flight attendant? So say I started with an international line. Direct flights to China, 11-13 hours per flight. Do normal wages concerning overtime over 8 hours apply? And how many hours can be expected/required per month? Thanks a lot by the way :0)

Best Answer:
They start at about $17/hr for flying time only (close of aircraft door to opening of aircraft door at destination) If you land an international line (your schedule) you could make as much as $22.50/hr flying time only. Hope this helps! :) These are starting salaries only for a major airline that also flies to international destinations...
Been there, done that :)
