How do I become a nanny for a celebrity?
Asked by dempeofan
Looking for a Nanny job with the rich and or famous. Please help me if you know where I can look for this type of employment. Who do I have to contact? Do you know a great agency/Institue where i can become a professional nanny. Please give me any advice you have. Link would be great too.

Celebrities and other wealthy people tend to have very high standards for their nannies. As a nanny, you really need to "work your way up", and should have experience nannying for other families, and probably training in child development, or even a degree in child development before an agency would recommend you for one of these "in demand" nanny positions. Although working for the "rich and famous" may sound exciting, that's not always the case. Just because a family is wealthy, does not mean that you will be paid better then working for a less affluent family. I've also found that more"important" families can be more demanding and picky concerning the requirements their nannies must meet, and sometimes treat the nanny as "the help", rather then a trusted, and respected care-giver. I have been very happy nannying for regular working families who treat me with respect.
