Career Questions and Answers

Lisa
How do I find a well paying job that I will enjoy when I have very little experience?
Asked by Lisa
I've sent out tons of applications/resumes but hardly any call backs. I think it's because employers don't want to give me a chance due to little experience. I spent the last four years in manufacturing (production factory). So I have no sales or customer service qualifications. So either I work fast food or in another factory, I guess. I'm really smart and hard working. It just doesn't look like it on my applications. Any ideas?

think about what type of work and company you want to work at. if you are still in the same business you could apply for internal positions in other areas of interest. referrals from friends or relatives can be helpful. check out your resume as well, does it highlight your education and experiences you have built up. even in a factory you are building up skills and traits that can easily translate to higher paying work. god luck!
