I'm an accounting clerk. How's the job market?
Asked by The Naughty Librarian
I'm going to be permanently laid off in a few weeks. I haven't had to look for a job in 3 years. Hows the job market and unemployment rates? Has it changed much?

Not sure about the sure term, but according to the federal government: "Employment of bookkeeping, accounting, and auditing clerks is projected to grow by 12 percent during the 2006-16 decade, which is as fast as the average for all occupations. Due its size, this occupation will have among the largest numbers of new jobs arise, about 264,000 over the projections decade."
