How do i gain experience with heavy equipment operation?
Asked by Nick C
I would like to operate heavy equipment such as a dozer, crane, excavator, etc. All the jobs I have seen require experience, how do I lean to do this if everyone wants you to know how already? I have seen schools that you can go to but they charge $10,000 for a 9 week class, I cannot afford this and prob wouldnt pay that if I could afford it. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you.

IF you do not want to attend a certified school, (and I don't blame you) then your best option is to apply to the companies that do the type of work, get a spot as a laborer, and while you are in your interview, clarify what you want to do. (for yourself and for the company) Start out on the bottom, and find a mentor that will be willing to teach you, or get the company to send you to school. It is a great field to be in, so don't give up.
