First you will need to get some supervisor experience to find out the correct way everything is done. Then ask the owner or GM on ways to become an auditor. What do you do now?

A:
you can go to college for a degree in hospitality, but for auditing you might need some classes in bookeeping, accounting also. i am hotel auditor, and this job suck. i am looking for another career. but if that s whut u wanna do, good luck.

What kind of hotel inspector ? their are many types. some are employed by their chain (like Best Western) to check the hotels complete the chains requirements, some work for a service advertising company (like the AA) and then you have HSE inspectors that check food hygiene / Heath & safety its only really the latter that you require any formal qualifications within the industry & something like a NEBOSH qualification would be more than adequate. http://www.nebosh.org.uk/
