mechanics!?

hey im am 15 and i am trying to choose my career, i really enjoy working on cars but ive heard it doesnt pay much so i was heading towards an electrician. but no i am thinking that i should stick with whati enjoy instead of chasing the money. Ive heard that diesel fitters make allright so yer i dont mind getting a bit dirty!

if you have a vocational high school close by you should see about transfering if they have a mech program you could also join the navy once you graduate as they have the seabee program which has a very good mechanic program and once you get that training you would definately be in demand working on large diesels,, I say navy as I used to be a navy recruiter but any of the services offer this program.. good luck and do what you love and the money will follow!

My husband has been a self employed mechanic for over 30 yrs. For the most part he has made a very good living but the new technology is pushing out the small shops. If you go this route plan on working for a dealership not out on your own.
