HELP..need you thoughts?
Asked by stef
Okay so today i had a job inteview for a causal nurse job for a city municiplaty. I ended up getting the job but however they don't want to hire me cause i also work fulltime some where else. I really want to work there but that would mean giving up my fulltime job and working parttime and casual jobs.. So what would you do take the job u really want and get rid of a permant full time job or keep the job u have and let the oppurtinty go????

I’d want to know the overall cost: -Would you be losing health insurance? -Can you afford a cut in pay? -Would the part time job offer any advancement opportunities? If so, how long would it take you to get there? -What does “casual” mean? Does that mean that you only work if a job is available like working for a home health agency? If so, can you live without knowing exactly how much you’ll make in a year? (Keep in mind this can screw with your ability to finance things like houses and cars.)

Any nurse job requires your attention almost full time. However, you must choose only one. It seems that if you really love the Nursing field than you might want to think about letting your full time go. I know it is hard, but believe me, once you get in the nursing job, it will eventually turn to full time. This is why they don't want you at another full time job. America is facing a huge shortage of staffing in healthcare, they could probably use you to fill the gaps.
