A good Idea would be to to research the fields of engineering that you find interesting, for example Architecture, Automotive, Aerospace, Production, Electronics, etc, etc, etc.
Then enroll in a course to learn about the field.
There are many different CAD packages that cater for the different needs of each sector. As part of the course, you may get access to the sectors preferred CAD packages.
As a student, you may also be able to obtain student versions of these CAD packages so you can learn at home.

it is better you get trained in basic CAD sofwares like AutoCAD, pro-e or solidworks which will get you good confidence!
go for some short term course for these all, it is generally in 6 months in India.
In India, Central Tool Room and Training Centres provice quality training in those
after that you should check out job sites that suit your needs or need you.

Take a course in CAD. The most popular CAD program i have heard of is AutoCAD. The program is really expensive so unless your going to get it illegally then you wont be willing to fork over the money to buy it. Learning in a classroom you will access to the program so thats a affordable way of learning it.

your best bet is to enroll in some AutoCad classes in your area....i live in Hampton Roads, VA where all of the shipyards, naval bases, etc are.....i lucked up and got a job as a water jet table operator and got some hands on training with computer aided drafting......about a year after i started, my job paid for me to take some community college courses in that field.....Im not certified yet, but once i finish my 2nd class i will be.....if possible, take a few classes at a community college and check online sites for job leads (ex: craigslist, careerbuilder, monster.com, yahoo, classifieds, etc)......im making about 30-40,000 a year (before taxes) after taking one 16 week class (1 semester).......starting pay should be between $11-14/hr..........depending on area and experience.......hope this helps!!!
