In london there is a very severe shortage of welders and tonnes of work.Ring a company up,set up and interview and show them your motivated and they will take you on as an assistant.You learn as you go

apply to welder's union office as an apprentice!!

go to craigslist in skilled trade in your city and post that you want to work with a welder as a helper . negotiate the salary.

you may also take a look at the welders classes at your local jr. college i took some great classes and there was a job board there that had alot of opertunites for employment like your looking for
