What are some careers in art that would be fun and pay well?

I'm 17 and I've been looking for a good art school and a career in art. I don't really want to be a teacher but i feel that I'm forced to because I don't know what else there is out there. I'm looking for something that i will enjoy for a while, and that pays well. Any ideas?

You can find an artistic career in pretty much any company. Advertising can be pretty artistic, graphic design, you can be an art director of an event planning company. These are all well paying jobs. Any design company, remodeling can be very artistic. I guess it all depends on what kind of art. If it's color and function, then visual art might be more up your alley. If it's hands on like ceramics, then that's different. You can look up the different areas of study at different art schools, and decide which one you are most into. You can always change your mind.
