Any suggestions on where I should apply and what jobs pay above the minimum wage?
Asked by Link921
I'm 18 and am looking for a job. I have about 1 year of work experience. 6 months of cash handling experience and had worked in 2 jobs. I am still attending high school so I would have to start work after 1:45pm. Any suggestions on where I should apply and what jobs pay above the minimum wage? I am not willing to work in Food Service. I prefer jobs that give like 4 hours a day. Thanks.

If you want the most $, a job as a waiter in a good restaurant is your best bet. It's good on a resume later because it shows you know how to work with people. I think that Home Depot pays a bit more than some of the others but many go there to get insurance. It's probably most important to try to get something that will give you job experience as you move on in life. I hope you are planning on college. Those jobs you have to take when your younger should let you know that education is the key to $ and study when you get there. Your gpa will be important but it's most important to get that all around education that just makes you smarter. Good luck.
