Renew Forklift License?
Asked by pandemic1444
My father has a forklift certification for New York state. We recently moved to Georgia and now to get a job as a forklift operator he needs Georgia certification, how can he get re-certified? All I have found is full company certification services. Is there a way to certify before getting a job? Because it's hard to get into the jobs without the certification. Thanks In Advance .\/,,

Best Answer:
Unless there is a vocational school the company will go through. He must get a new license with the company he works for. Forklift licenses do not travel with you from job to job. Each company must issue a license to drive a forklift for that company. All he should have to do is put on his resume how many years he has experience driving a forklift. If the company hires him they must test and license him for use of that companies forklifts.

His license is good for three years. His new employer will supply him with service to renew when it is time.
